Case Study  Janet is a 67-year-old woman who lives alone and doesn't have any family. She has recently suffered a stroke, and although she can move fairly well with a walking aid, she cannot communicate very well (aphasia), is incontinent and tires quickly. Janet gets easily frustrated when she doesn't understand someone or cannot communicate something and is very emotional. Before the stroke, Janet volunteered at the local library and was part of a book club. Now, she refuses to go out and is reluctant to even answer the door to visitors. When asked about why she says she is embarrassed.
