The motion of a standing wave on the vibrating string in a previous experiment is very similar to the motion of sound waves in a resonance tube. However, what are the main differences between the types of waves in both experiments?

I honestly have no idea, other than the fact that the string is fixed at both ends. They are both sound waves, so can they really be different types of waves?
