It seems odd that our text anchors its thinking of LGBTQ issues back in 2011. Perhaps no one in academe was thinking the movement to full inclusion of LGBTQ people was going to happen any time soon. Still for those who do not identify as heterosexual, there has been astounding change in the last 15 years. What are the implications of these changes? How are they problems? How are they benefits? Given that the sitting Supreme Court may overturn LGBTQ+ inclusion, were we better off when people just "stayed in the closet?
