Case Study: Choose an interest group that affects health policy. It could be one that you are familiar with, or to which you belong. It may be a health-related organization, such as a healthcare provider (hospital, long-term care facility, etc.), an organization representing health-related professionals, an insurance company, or healthcare regulatory body. Alternatively, it may be a consumer-related organization with interests in healthcare and health policy, such as AARP or NAACP. Select such an organization and answer the following questions:

• How does it attempt to accomplish those objectives?
• Does it try to influence health policy at the local, state, and/or national level?
• How successful do you feel it has been in accomplishing its objectives and influencing health policy?
