In a population of 100 Walruses, 30 have short whiskers (the recessive trait). The rest of the walruses have long whiskers (the dominant trait) with 30 heterozygotes. Please answer the following questions and show your work or you will not get credit.

a) What are the frequencies of this population of the:
-homozygous long-whiskered walruses
-heterozygous long-whiskered walruses
-short whiskered walruses

b)What are they frequencies of the long - and short whisker alleles in this population of walruses?
-long-whiskers
-short whiskers

c) Is this population in Hardy Weinberg equilibrium? LIST OBSERVED AND EXPECED VALUES, AND, below the lists, answer this question with a YES or NO, and a brief description of what is or isn't different.

d) If this walrus population was NOT evolving at this whisker-length locus, what would be three possible reasons for it being in Hardy Weinberg equilibrium?
