Tealive is a Malaysian brand that has grown out of adversity. Created by Bryan Loo of Loob Holdings, Tealive was set up to replace Chatime of Taiwan as Malaysi's No.1 bubble milk tea marketer. With a birthdate of February 18, 2017, Tealive short life is full od controversies and great achievements. To begin with, Tealive came into fruition when La Kaffa of Taiwan, the brand owner of Chatime, tern mined Loob Holdings' master franchising agreement. Ib respond, Loob Holdings sues La Kaffa, disputing the legality of the termination and took the brave decision to rebrand its Chattime outlets as Tealives. In 50 days of the contract termination 161 of 165 Chatime outlets were rebranded as Tealives. La Kaffa of course took a legal action to stop the operations of Tealives and to date, Loob Holdings and La Kaffa legal showdown continues in Malaysia where La Kaffa sued Loob Holdings to close down Tealives and in Singapore, where Loob Holdings sued La Kaffa for the franchising termination.
