Sumatriptan was a drug considered for treating migraine headaches in children. 29 children suffering from migraine headaches on two occasions were randomly given the Sumatriptan one time and the placebo the other time in a blinded study and the number of children who reported more pain relief with Sumatriptan over placebo was 20, while those who reported more pain relief with placebo over Sumatriptan was 9. If there is no difference in pain relief, then the proportion of children who would report more pain relief with Sumatriptan would by .50.
