Questions:

  • Does the risk of exposing the identity of a research participant outweigh the benefits of research that seeks justice for many?
  • What are the ethics of hiding certain information when being completely honest and straightforward could repel or offend participants?
  • Could deception serve the greater good?
  • Should you return to your research field to share your results even if these results are perceived as offensive or harmful to a certain group of people?
  • How can you best deliver the views of those who are marginalized to the general population in a way that reduces the risk of your findings being misused or misinterpreted?
