Question: In August 2012, Hassan Snoubar began working as an operator assistant oil field worker. While employed at Halliburton Energy Services, Snoubar, who is of Syrian origin, was frequently called derogatory names, was accused of being associated with ISIS and terrorism by his supervisors and coworkers, and was forced to listen to radio broadcasts of the offensive characterizations during his workday. Snoubar later was fired in retaliation for voicing his concerns to management and human resources. Does Snoubar have a claim for discrimination against his former employer., and if so, on what basis?
