Case Studies in ?nance Rossini Company Bossini's company mission is to create appealing, competitive, and quality everyday wear for happy living all over the world. The casual wear retailer hunched its ?rst retail outlet in 1937 in Hong Kong. In 1933, it commenced its franchise operations in other parts of the world. With good product quality and sound marketing plan, the company grew rapidly and in 1993 Bossini went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Recently, the company implemented a "be happy" philosophy to promote positive attitudes and encourage an optimistic view of life. Rossini has made social responsibility an integral part of its corporate culture. It was awarded the "Manpower Developer 1"" award in 2012 in recognition of its commitment to manpower training and development. Companies of the same business nature as Bossini may operate as a sole proprietorship. The simplest type of business, its chief advantage is that it is the least regulated form of organization. However, the owner has unlimited liability for business debts and it may be dif?cult to transfer ownership. In addition, the business income is taxed as personal income.
