Imagine, NASA asked students to design a human mission to Mars. They want to send 2 astronauts. You need to send NASA a narrated power point consisting of a minimum of 10 slides.

Your project needs to provide answers to the following questions:

1. Introduction (Goals, objectives, some background information)

2. Basic information about Mars: Mars orbit (e.g a picture from Stellarium , Flight opportunities)

3. What do you want the 2 astronauts to research? Your scientific goal will determine the landing site.

4. Show a picture of the landing site and describe its geological structure.

5. Describe the mission: Describe the trajectory your spacecraft will need to follow to get to Mars. (Internet research). How can you get the astronauts onto the surface of the planet? What do they need to survive? How long will they stay? How will they communicate? Will they have the time to start building a habitat like Biosphere 2?

When do they need to return? What will they bring back? Is it possible to add additional weight to the spacecraft? How will the trip affect their health? What preventive measurements will NASA have to take after their landing to avoid cross contamination?

What are the cost of a human Mars mission? Is it feasible? There are many more question which you could develop. You must develop at least one more question not mentioned here. You must explain and how you will research a possible answer to YOUR question. Provide references.
