The consequences of using flawed evidence in decision-making and strategic planning is often driven by funding. Using incorrect information can lead to failure of the strategic planning, this can cause problems and delays in funding to the entire organization's project and at times the strategic plan will not be fully supported by the financial plan and the balance sheet changes and the mission will need to be adjusted.
