Case Study: LP is a five year old student at Lamar Fake Campus Elementary school. LP has demonstrated some behavior concerns in his Reading and Math class, however does not demonstrate these concerns in other classes such as science and electives. Mrs. Math Teacher, indicated that LP, struggles with quantitative reasoning and inductive reasoning. According to Mrs. Math Teacher, when LP is provided a series of numbers he is unable to fill in the missing number, however the student appears able to count rote numbers (1, 2, 3,......10). Mrs. Reading Teacher, indicated that LP does not seem to remember the information she provides immediately following a class discussion, The student struggles with site words and letter identification. LP seems to have a great memory. LP has never been assessed for special education services. Currently, LP has the following grades Reading 65, Math 69, Social Studies 70, Science 75, and PE 100. LP has not participated in a state assessment. Throughout the school year you have been contacted with questions about recommendations for LP. According to LP's parents, he is lazy, and he can do better.
