Question: What are the brain functions when learning English as a second language?
The brain is an incredible organ that is always evolving and adjusting itself in response to the external world and the things that we go through in our lives. When we learn a new language, a series of changes take place in our brains that enable us to process and store the new information we have acquired.
When we are learning a new language, there is also an increase in activity in the hippocampus, which is the part of the brain that is responsible for memory. When we learn a new language, our brains go through a series of changes that, in the big picture, make it possible for us to more effectively process and store the new information we take in. These changes are necessary for the acquisition of a second language and are indicative of the brain's remarkable capacity for learning and adaptation.Learning a second language involves a variety of brain processes, including:
-The capacity to pay attention and concentrate on the job at hand -The memory and recall of information -The processing and understanding of information -The use and application of knowledge -The capacity to successfully communicate -The capacity to self-monitor and control learning.
