Every winter, volunteers administer flu vaccine shots at a local drugstore. The process involves the following four steps;

a) What are the bottleneck activity? What are the maximum number of people that can be vaccinated per hour? In addition, please provide a MS Office process flow diagram.

b) If a fifth volunteer is assigned to help administer vaccinations, what activity now becomes the bottleneck? Please construct using MS Office process flow diagram for this arrangement. How has this arrangement influenced the capacity of the system (make sure to explain details)? What is the new service capacity per hour ?

c) Using five volunteers, recommend a reallocation of activities that would result in increased service capacity, and construct (MS Office) a corresponding process flow diagram. What is the capacity of the improved system ?
