Question: Partnerships are essential in public health, for they bring multidisciplinary teams together with a common goal to improve the community's health. There are many different types of partnerships and one that I often utilize for my global public health activities in so-called public-private partnerships. "The term public-private partnerships cover a wide variety of ventures involving a diversity of arrangements, varying with regard to participants, legal status, governance, management, policy-setting prerogatives, contributions, and operational roles. They range from small, single-product collaborations with industry to large entities hosted in United Nations agencies or private not-for-profit organizations" (WHO, 2020). In your opinion, what are the benefits and challenges of private-public partnerships for health?
