One of the burgeoning phenomena of the Internet is businesses and organizations sponsoring, supporting and moderating discussion groups about issues, products, strategies - anything of interest to the organization and its constituents. Sponsorships are also solicited for popular resources, such as indexes and other Internet search tools, and these provide a further communications and marketing opportunity.
Select a business of your own choice and outline an electronic communications system that would be beneficial to the business. In your Business style writing report, describe a range of electronic and non-electronic communication methods, including situations where they would or would not be used, and explain any barriers to communication in a workplace context that may arise and how these could be overcome.
You must also consider the impact of legislation and organisational policies on workplace communication activities once the electronic communication system is implemented. The report must describe the advantages to the business and where the communication system

Task - Roleplay/Presentation
You are required to select one of the following topics and develop and deliver a presentation on that topic:
• workplace ethical principles
• workplace codes of practice
• workplace privacy laws
• work, health and safety (WHS)
In preparation for the presentation:
• Write a transcript of the presentation on the topic selected. Your transcript should be suitable for a presentation that is 10-15 minutes in length to present in class/online via zoom meeting- to your assessor and audiences. Utilise knowledge you have gained in this unit when writing your presentation.
• Explain what approach you would take to your presentation and why.
• Identify the intended outcomes of your presentation and explain how you have developed your presentation to meet these outcomes.
• Identify the strategies you have used in your presentation and explain why you have used them.
• Create at least one presentation aid and explain why you would use it to communicate the key concepts and central ideas in your presentation.
• What method(s) can you use to review the three factors of a presentation -results, response and standards?
• Explain how you would use effective communication skills, including any culturally appropriate communication, when giving your presentation.
• Identify those parts of your presentation where you have provided summaries of key concepts and ideas.
• You must also select and implement methods to review the effectiveness of your own presentation and document any changes which would improve future presentations.
