Topic: Remote Work or Work from Home (WFH):

A. What are the advantages and disadvantages of WFH employees? For employers?

B. Are employees productive when working remotely?

C. How can organizations create employee loyalty when employees work in a remote environment?

D. What is the best compensation and performance management model for remote workers?

E. How can managers manage higher/lower expectations of their remote employees?

F. Studies state that Millennials want flexibility in the place, time, and manner in which they work. How can organizations create effective workplace environments that meet the need of Millennials and produce results for the employer?

Task

Conduct primary or secondary (scholarly literature) research to discover the answer to a question related to human resource management in the global marketplace. At least 10 sources must be used. Seven of these sources must be academic/scholarly or primary research sources. The following five steps outline the project.

A. Choose a topic relevant to the content covered in MBA 552.
B. Outline a research thesis statement or research question.
C. Research the selected topic.
D. Create a literature review and reference list.
E. Deliver a 15-minute presentation summarizing the research.

Students will submit the following three deliverables for the research project.

A. Prepare a reference list in APA format detailing research sources. The list should include a minimum of 10 sources, 7 of which are scholarly/academic sources.

B. Write a literature review summarizing the research on the selected thesis statement/research question. The literature review should be between 1200 to 1500 words. Use APA format for the literature view. Refer to "How to Write a Stellar Literature Review" for guidance. Begin your literature review with a short introduction to your topic. Include a clearly stated thesis statement with an outline of the topic.

C. Create a 15 minutes presentation of the research results. The presentation should begin with the thesis statement/research question followed by a logical discussion of the research. The end of the presentation should provide conclusions of the research. How did the findings support the thesis statement?

PowerPoint slides should be used to aid you in communicating the key points of research and conclusions. You can either record and upload your presentation or schedule an in-person presentation with the professor. If posting a link to your presentation the video should include both you and the slides. Don't just produce voice-over slides.
