Watch the video and answer the questions:

Emily quinn the way we think about biological sex is wrong

1. Emily points out that our external genitals dictate not only what sex we are assigned at birth, but also how we are expected to identify and express ourselves. There are numerous human traits that we accept as diverse. Hair and skin color, and shapes of our nose and lips, yet when it comes to our genitals, we are told there are only two options. Penis and vulva. Why is this? What are some reasons our society is so fixated on the binary when this is not an accurate reflection of human variety?

2. Emily ends her talk by calling for us to break down boxes, and she is asking us, "will you join me"? What are some ways we can join her in understanding and celebrating sexual bodies and sexuality in its full diversity?
