Bharti Airtel, an Indian telecommunications company, announced a strategic alliance with the American telecommunications company Verizon. The two hope to work together to bring secure video conferencing solutions to businesses in India. Per the terms of the alliance, Airtel will offer Verizon's secure enterprise-grade video conferencing solutions to its corporate clients in India. This access will allow provide Verizon with a cloud-presence in India enabling low latency and improved quality of service. India, along with the rest of the world, is witnessing a massive surge in demand for enterprise grade video conferencing tools as work-from-home and virtual meetings become the new normal. CEO of Verizon, Hans Vestberg noted "Companies of all sizes around the world have seen the requirement for reliable, high-quality video conferencing services and require trusted partners to ensure the highest level of security" (Ani, 2020).
