PharmaCorp is a growing pharmaceutical company. The management prides itself on being on the cutting edge. It ensures that all its employees are provided with the latest technological advancement. Employees have laptops, wireless Internet access, and smartphones. PharmaCorp also often upgrades its software and network systems. Most of the employees rely heavily on this technology and these programs on a daily basis. Many of PharmaCorp's staff work in sales and product management. They are often on the road visiting client sites and making sales calls. Consequently, much of the communication among coworkers and between coworkers and managers is technologically mediated.
