Chapter 11 and chapter 13 of "Gangs: An Introduction" by Bill Sanders outline the ways in which gangs present a public health concern. In doing so, it discusses how gang involvement relates to various social, mental, and physical health outcomes for individuals and the community. This week also examines various suppression, prevention, and intervention programs aimed at gangs and gang activity. Specifically, it outlines the roles and outcomes of such programs.
