sample- 16-65
Changing in eating habits- outcome variable alcohol consumption- independent variable with the info given above, please help me answer these questions
(a) What is the key decision this person makes (person in the sample), which underlies your outcome variable?
(b) In making this decision, what are some of the constraints the person faces (e.g., budget, time, or other constraints)? Briefly explain the nature of each constraint.
(c) Based on your answers to Questions 1a and 1b, how do you expect your main independent variable to affect your outcome variable? What mechanisms do you expect to be at play? Explain.
d) Write down the regression equation that will be estimated. What is the parameter of interest? Based on your answer to Question 1c, formulate a hypothesis for the parameter of interest. Make sure to use proper econometrics notation and to clearly define all variables.
(f) In estimating the relationship outlined in Question 1d, what are two potentially confounding factors (other than sample selection)? Briefly explain why each factor may confound your estimation
