Question II
Approaches to Relationships and Marriages & Parenting Education
Instructions: This week we will discuss relationships and marriages & parenting education. Please choose one of the questions below to discuss and indicate in your post which question you have chosen.
Preventative programs - are focused on strengths of couples. The programs are often structured, include experiential activities, have a cognitive focus, are time limited and are often economical. Some professionals further divide preventative programs into :
Primary - programs that focus on issues before difficulties occur
Secondary - program that focus on couples that may be at risk
If you were tasked with creating a primary program and a secondary program for couples, what would your programs entail. Share the following for each program:
Name of the program
1) Mission and Vision of the program
2) Intended Audience (Relationships or Marriage)
3) Share one major event or activity that you will place under this program.
4) Share 3 goals for the program.
In a brief paragraph to follow, discuss the rationale behind your creation of these programs (why this selection), and discuss the differences between the programs. Please use examples to clarify your positions.
Question III
We'll be finding creative ways to guide children through word discovery--finding a therapeutic project that we can create a positive memory through, and even help children develop words that they otherwise wouldn't have in this context.
One example (one of my favorites, and truly one of the most beautiful I've seen in action) is the creation of luminaries shared in the Camp Erin video. Kids who aren't ready to express grief through words can experience much needed therapeutic input as they create something very personal and prepare to memorialize the person who's died. The words may not be present, but the actions and feelings are very much present, and it's tasks such as these that often are the first step in healing for children!
Find and share a single activity that is therapeutic in nature, and can be used to help a child successfully cope with a death. An activity manageable (with support) by a child, meaning it "speaks" to them without requiring them to verbally share their experience. What is a positive way for a child to recreate (even if mentally) and save a memory? What types of activities can give a child closure (even if that closure is simply that the child isn't alone in their grief)?
Question IV
Based on what you learned, what are some of the risk factors to children who grow up in homes with parents who battle addiction and mental health issues? List and explain at least 2 risk factors for each. What are the possible long term consequences for children who grow up in that environment?
Question V
Topic A: Eastern Ethics and Natural Law
Do some research on one of the Eastern systems and then compare it to either Aristotle's virtue theory or Aquinas' Natural Law Theory in terms of which seems more reasonable. Which seems more coherent and able to be followed and which might help a person formulate a plan that would produce more morally acceptable behavior.

2) How did you get there?

5) Did anything surprise you or particularly impress you?
Question VII

2) What is SSO and what are some of parts and types of Access Control?
Question VIII

Question XII
In their annual report, the Trustees of the Social Security and Medicare Trust Funds (Social Security Administration, 2022) reported that Medicare (and Social Security) cannot sustain the cost of current benefit levels, without legislative changes (such as higher taxes or reduced benefits). The report concluded that the Medicare Trust Fund will be depleted by 2028.
