Question: Self-report studies show that nearly every adult American has committed an act for which that individual could be jailed (using drugs, falsifying business-expense reports, driving drunk, cheating taxes, or inflicting violence on an intimate partner.) Why is it that crime is so prevent in American society? What are some causes and effects? And what are solutions.

Going further, FBI statistics show that white people constituted nearly 70% of the people arrested for serious crimes. A study also showed that whites have a higher rate of illegal drug use. So why is it that African Americans and other minorities are often subjected to discriminatory and falsified investigations when they don't constitute the majority of serious crimes? Is it because research connects crime to social contexts? A huge link between certain crimes and economic disadvantages huge?
