You have likely heard the jokes or comments about men ageing gracefully and women...well let's say less so gracefully ageing. When interviewed, many women state that their main concern of ageing is avoiding weight gain. Many of them also take supplements to help avoid this as well as other effects of ageing. When men are interviewed, they often claim that their main concern is eating right in order to maintain their strength and lean body mass. Many of these men take protein supplements. What are the real differences for the genders during ageing physically and how does this impact their approach to nutrition beyond the examples given?
