The restaurant manager requires that you, a cashier, immediately enter each sale into the register as it is made. Recently, because of increased lunch hour traffic, the assistant manager has asked you to "avoid delays" by taking customers' cash make change without entering the sale. The assistant manager says that she will add up cash and enter the sales after lunch. She says that, by doing it this way, the sales register will always match cash when the restaurant manager arrives at three o'clock.
