Q. Labour laws in United States protect rights of employees to join together for purpose of collective bargaining with their employer. You are HR director of a home care agency. You have been informed about representatives of a union visiting employees' homes also contacting clients (individuals using agency services) for purpose of discussing wages also working conditions. Chief executive officer (CEO) of agency has been contacted by a local legislator asking if she can be of any assistance relative to contact of agency with union.

CEO calls a meeting of senior agency management also asks for your advice on how to address situation. You contact your labour attorney for advice.
