1. What are the four gospels? Describe who wrote them, what was their "focus", when were they were written (date) and how do the Gospels contribute to the knowledge of the life of Jesus?
2. Who is Jesus? What percentage of him is human and divine and does it make a difference? If you were to teach someone about Jesus what would you state the key issues are in studying the life of Christ?
3. Discuss Jesus' birth. In your answer go over the date, place, why he was born there, and the events and people that surround it. Also, discuss what the birth events tell us about Jesus and his parents.
4. Describe the titles of Jesus, what did others call him and what did he call himself? Also, discuss the significance of Jesus being called "the Son of Man" and the title of "Messiah," and if it fit Him.
5. Explain what happened during Jesus baptism, why did he do it, and why is it important? Discuss the humanity and the divinity implications of this special event.
6. Describe the three ways Jesus was tempted, and in what ways they were tempting Jesus' humanity and the theological significance of it?
7. Explain what Jesus' early ministry was like? What kind of people did he choose to follow him? Include your working definition of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus? How has your definition changed or been modified up to this point?
8. Discuss three ways (we went over several) that we see Jesus' humanity in the Gospels. List and describe the ways and why it is significant in understanding His humanness.
9. Describe Jesus' teaching methods, in your answer go over three parables, what they represented, context, and how each audience understood them. (original audience and us). Conclude by commenting on if he a good teacher, and explain why.
10. Did Jesus believe that he was divine? Discuss why, and in what ways we see this in the gospels. Go over three miracles, and what they tell us about Jesus divinity. What did Jesus and say that indicates that he had a special relationship with God?
