Assignment:
Please help Explain these questions as it relates to feminism:
1. Is the distinction between what are considered economically "productive" and "nonproductive" activities a useful one? Who does it benefit? What should count as work and how should it be rewarded? (Again, think micro, meso, macro, and global levels.)
2. Make the best argument you can for alternatives to jail and prison for some or all incarcerated women and gender minorities. Anticipate the arguments of those who might oppose your views, and try to counter them. Use the material in this chapter, other relevant material in this book, and the theoretical frameworks you have learned in this course (micro, meso, macro, and global levels of analysis and action, and inequalities based on race, class, gender, sexuality, and nation).
3. What are the responsibilities of people living in a relatively rich country like the United States to address social and economic problems faced by women (cis, femmes, trans-women) and gender minorities (LGBTQ+) from countries of the global South? What can be done? Think in terms of micro, meso, macro, and global levels of analysis and action.
