A well organised presentation which included appropriate content for this type of training. I particularly liked the slide on impediments/barriers which demonstrated good understanding of the idiosyncrasies of this case.
For the final project I advise you to focus your presentation around the most crucial sections as given in the task:
- Identify what approaches to diversity management you would recommend to build a more diverse workforce and explain the impact that a diverse workforce may have on their scenario organisation.
- Explain how you would manage potential issues that may arise
- Propose solutions to ease the transition
Once you've emphasised these sections make sure you legitimise them through the use of academic work and other sources to establish expertise to your client and to increase the originality of your recommendations.
Furthermore, maintain the relevance to your scenario throughout the presentation; i.e. try to use your theoretical knowledge to explicitly address issue confronting the scenario firm.
Scenario Organisation - Opening a new overseas office
Lanx, a UK-based, textile-manufacturing firm is opening a new plant in Delhi, India. Lanx has enjoyed marked growth in the UK and determines that it can reduce long-term manufacturing costs by having a presence in Delhi. Selected current Lanx managers, who are all UK nationals and have worked in the UK-office for more than 5 years, will relocate and manage Delhi employees onsite.
