Pharmaceutical lab company carried a project to develop a new drug that dramatically shortens recovery period for flu infection. The project cost the company $150,000 but abandoned due to slim possibility of getting FDA approval. They then spent $300,000 on another project that achieves the same goal for flu recovery. The company is confident in getting FDA approval for this new shot and in making profits out of the shot.
