Question: You are a sole practitioner and the only lawyer in a small town in northern Ontario. Dr. Strangelove, a well known family physician in a nearby town, has called you as he recently received letters from 2 different lawyers; one accused him of sexually harassing an employee (who had recently quit) and the other accused him of sexually assaulting a patient during a physical examination. Dr. Strangelove confided in you that all of this is causing him immense stress and he is finding it difficult to focus. What advice would you give him with respect to his professional obligations and the legal proceedings he may face?
