Adam has not had much experience with online communication. He prefers old-fashioned face-to-face conversation over any other forms. He can see facial expressions and hear tone, two things that Adam needs to help him decode information. Without it, he often misunderstands what people are trying to tell him. His new job on campus requires that he communicate with the public via the office's social media accounts. He is tasked with both sending out important information and responding in real time to questions or comments. He does not feel comfortable doing that.
