The intent of this exercise is to learn about their journey, any tips they can offer, and a general perspective of healthcare at large. 1. Discuss who you are interviewing - their name, position (not just title, but what do they do), organization, and their e-mail address (please tell them I may reach out to verify interview).

2. Why did you choose to interview them?

3. Garner details about their background - their education/credentials, how long they have worked in healthcare, which healthcare organizations they have worked for (if any others).

4. Find out how and why they got into healthcare, and why they are still in it.

5. Explore these questions:

a. What advice would they give to someone looking to learn/grow in the healthcare field?

b. What challenges and opportunities do they see in the healthcare field (could be present or future)?

c. How do they think healthcare has evolved since they first started?

d. What do they think is most fulfilling about working in healthcare?

e. How do they continue their own education (if they are)?

6. Open-ended - what else would they like to tell you about their current job, past jobs, the field of healthcare, their journey, any topics they find particularly meaningful, etc.?
