Case: The position is full-time, 5-eight-hour shifts (forty hours) per week. The practice serves Medicare patients only. You are expected to build your own patient panel. You will not be performing any procedures. You will be performing medical management only:
You are expected to see 8 new (establishing) patients each day for the first three months. You will be billing primarily 99204 CPT Code.
The second quarter (three months) you are expected to see 4 new (establishing) patients and 8 returning (established) patients each day. Most of the returning visits qualify for 99213 CPT Code.
The third quarter you are expected to see 4 new (establishing) patients and 12 returning (establishing) patients each day.
The final quarter you are expected to see 4 new (establishing) patients and 16 returning (establishing) visits.
