What about the drug "Ozempic"? There is a lot of controversy over this medication. This medication is being prescribed for Type 2 Diabetes but has assisted many people in losing weight. As you have discussed in this DQ, nutrition plays a huge role in the prevention and management of diseases. So...is this a miracle drug? Should anyone who needs to lose some weight have the option to receive this drug? What about the risks? Are the risks worth it? What if a patient is asking you questions, what will be your advice? Thoughts? Have you heard about Zepbound - another new weight loss drug? This was just recently approved by the FDA. We will have to watch the literature to see how this new drug measures up.
