Were you surprised by the inclusion of any of Ekvall's ten dimensions? Are there any additional dimensions that you think should have been included? I felt that all of the dimensions were insightful into what goes into creativity within the workplace. I was surprised by playfulness and humor being included but felt it was an important aspect. Any time playfulness and humor is adapted into the workplace, it does allow for more creativity and a more enjoyable atmosphere. Which dimension of creative climate was the hardest to evaluate? Trust and openness was the hardest to evaluate because you never know how truly open an honest others are being as they tend to be more guarded in these areas within the workplace. Share any insights or thoughts about the creative climate for the organization you evaluated.

Discuss the one to two dimensions that received the highest and lowest scores. The creative climate in the organization I evaluated scored highest in debate and conflict as I found that whenever we were brainstorming new ideas or concepts, others were often negative or did not want to bring new ideas into the organization. You would find out from others about the negative talk that would go on outside of meetings and negative thoughts brought into meetings as well which often stymied any new concepts from happening.

The lowest scores were in dynamism and liveliness, risk taking, idea support and trust and openness. This correlates to the high scores in debate and conflict and the issues I found within those dimensions as well. Base on the above discussion: address the following: Do you agree or disagree with the need for additional dimensions? Were you surprised that Ekvall included only one dimension that is negatively correlated? What conclusions can you draw from that fact? Do you agree or disagree with the post about the dimension that is the most difficult to assess?
