Erikson proposed that the primary challenge for adolescents is to establish a well-organized sense of self consisting of values, belief systems, and goals.
(a) How do you define yourself? Consider *your* aspirations, student identity, ?family roles, talents, personality traits, interests, hobbies, religious?ideology, gender identity, political ideology, volunteer activities, ?and other aspects of self. Identify 5 to 8 aspectsof your identity that are most valued by you?
(b) Marcia's research, which supported Erikson's theory, highlighted four types of resolution to the identity challenge. Now, consider?the 4 types of identity resolutions for each of *your* definitions of ?self, keeping in mind “Exploration” and “Commitment.” Are there some ?goals/values/belief systems that are under transition? Have you been ?challenged to reconsider what it means to be (fill in the blank)??Are you still exploring what some of these mean to you? Have you made ?commitments to some? If so, are some of these commitments the result of ?socialization from family, friends, or other important influences? Are ?some commitments the result of deep soul searching on your part? IN OTHER WORDS, how has each aspect of your identity been resolved (which are achieved, in moratorium, foreclosed, and diffused)?
(c) What insights do you have from learning about Identity Development?
Mood scores for non-pet owners versus pet owners
: A researcher investigates whether single people who own pets are generally happier than singles without pets. A mood inventory questionnaire is administered to a group of 20- to 29-year-old non-pet owners and a similar group of pet owners.

Discredits the cons of using music in cognitive development
: Provide an argument that discredits the cons of using music in cognitive development in children.

Independent-measures research study
: A researcher reports an F-ratio with df=2, 36 from an independent-measures research study. Based on the df values, how many treatments were compared in the study and what was the total number of subjects participating in the study?

Research study comparing three treatments
: An analysis of variance is used to evaluate the mean differences for a research study comparing three treatments with a separate sample of n=6 in each treatment. If the data produce an f-ration of F=4.10 then which of the following is the correct ..

Differences among three treatment conditions
: A researcher uses an analysis of variance to test for mean differences among three treatment conditions using a sample of n=8 participants in each treatment. What degrees of freedom (df) would the F-ratop frpm this analysis have?
