Week Discussion

The major reasons as to why a well-integrated communication process is important for the performance of any organization to me is that this effective communication can lead to great effectiveness, for example, staff and computers are the biggest effective communication method within healthcare that I can personally say is the biggest reason. I myself communicate everything by these methods currently. Major reasons as to why such a process is important within healthcare organizations is that this can help the healthcare facility by reducing duplications, reduce healthcare costs, and help navigate workflow to be faster to help prevent any delay for the patients care. I also find it very beneficial to use tools such as the ones described in the Assignment we did this week involving SBAR and the two challenge rule. I highly believe it is vital to use these tools of communication when you are stuck in a rut and need to get your information understood to help delay bad patient care. I myself, have to use these methods of communication when I feel like I am being overlooked but to ensure I do everything to protect patients, I do speak up or take it higher up as I do not want to be held accountable for improper patient care.
