Question 1.
Realtors often suggest that fresh baked breads or cookies be prepared in a home just before an open house. Sometimes they even suggest removing some furniture. What could this possibly have to do with selling the house? Or how is it related to the lab?
Question 2.
Some animals (i.e. deer, dogs) are color blind and see in shades of grays. What can you infer about rods and cones found in their eyes? What about birds who see many more colors than do humans? Explain why being able to distinguish many colors or seeing in dim light could be an advantage or disadvantage.
Question 3.
Why do many physicians advise women to participate in weight training or weight bearing exercise? What is the benefit? How would weight training versus taking calcium at an advanced age compare?
Question 4.
This is really an opinion question.......... not based on factual evidence but rather what you have observed. Are men or women more aware of their surroundings and why do you think this is so?
Question 5.
I have three perfect grandsons (you already know that :-). Two of them have an amazing gift of balance. My three year old grandson learned to ride a bike without training wheels the first time he attempted it. My five year old grandson is frustrated by this as he has not yet learned how to balance and ride a bicycle. Have you seen similar attributes like this in your family? Do you have children or siblings who are amazingly talented and yet seem to have inherited this ability (whether it be movement or kinesthetics, sensory of surroundings or neural development) rather than training for or learning it? Would these attributes have benefitted the early human species?
Question 6.
Ok, think logically here and do not look for an answer until you try to solve this. Why did snakes evolve to be legless? They lost their legs many years ago. Why?
