Week Seven reflection
As the final submission in this course, you will prepare a topical reflection project on a developmental area or concern that is of interest to you. You will choose a topic or area by Week 4 of the course and provide a brief outline of the three sections of the paper. Your topic can range from focusing on infants to geriatrics. If you are more interested in a topic on adolescence or adulthood, it may mean that you need to read ahead into your chosen life stage as you prepare your project.
This project will have three parts that will be combined into ONE comprehensive paper with three sections:
Part 1: At least a 2-3 page summary and reflection of an observation (of a child) or interview (with a teen or adult). See the rubric for expectations in this part of the paper.
Part 2: At least a 1-2 page review of a book, website or other resources (TED talk, etc.) on a particular developmental topic. This resource should be a source that would be educational/beneficial to a parent, teacher, child or other adult. See the rubric for expectations in this part of the paper.
Part 3: At least a 3-5 page topical paper over a "hot topic" or "current issue" you might read about in your book, see a news report on or a social media article. This should be a focused topic like: "Interventions for a child with dyslexia" OR "Current research on Teen sexual activity". Your instructor can help you develop this topic. See the rubric for expectations in this part of the paper.
Review the video below, which provides an outline of the expectations for this paper.
