Water enters an insulated nozzle operating under steady conditions at a pressure of 60 psia, a temperature of 350 °F and a velocity of 10 ft/s. Water exits the nozzle at a pressure of 40 psia.

The isentropic efficiency of the nozzle is 94%.

(a) Determine the exit velocity, in ft/s.

(b) Calculate the entropy production of the process, in Btu/(lbm-R).

(c) Plot the actual and ideal processes on a T-s diagram.
