Question
It is a busy day in radiology with fluoroscopy and OR cases. Riley is assigned to the outpatient room, and there is approximately a 60-minute wait before all patients get imaged. Riley has the radiography assistant help them in getting the patient dressed and ready to go. The radiography assistant informs Riley that one of the many patients they dressed is inquiring as to how much longer it will be before the x-ray is taken. Riley tells the radiography assistant to let the patient know that it is very busy and they are the only technologist taking x-rays. If they choose to leave, they can do so and return at a later time when it is not so busy. The patient is now more irate and wishes to speak to management.
