Question: "In what ways has technology changed the way we experience the world? "... I'm wanting to use the philosophical concept of Empiricism in relation to social media, by contrasting Plato's the Allegory of the cave. The argument I want to put forth is how the prisoners of the cave, only seeing the shadows on the wall thinking its reality, and how social media today portrays the "shadows" so to speak the same way and not reality. Want to show the connection of how society today truly believes blurred reality that social media portrays, the same way the prisoners of cave didn't believe that the world outside of the shadows they were observing is in fact reality.

The instructions are as follows:

"Bridge the gap between philosophical question and new digital technologies such as social media. In a 3 page essay that explores that question, be sure to include a central thesis and at least 3 supporting arguments informed by the philosophical concept you choose, (I chose Empiricism), and use evidence pulled from academic sources to support your arguments." I just cannot get this together and find sources and how to start this.
