Question 

A 5-year old child presented at the Saturday walk-in outpatient clinic with their mother. The patient was experiencing fever, crankiness, and had complained of a sore throat for two days. On physical examination by the attending resident, the patient had a fever of 39oC. It was noticed that the tonsils were enlarged and coated with a white patchy film, along with a red throat and swollen lymph nodes. There was no evidence of otitis media. A rapid strep screen performed by the MLS and was positive. Bacteria grown after 24 hour incubation from the throat swab is shown below in the Gram stain. How would the Complete Blood Count (CBC) be affected.
