Question

Jenny is a voluntary admission to the inpatient adult psychiatric unit from the Emergency Department for evaluation following an episode of acute agitation requiring restraint and administration of repeated doses of IV benzodiazepine. The episode started in the hospital Imaging Services Department where an 18-week female fetus was diagnosed with cleft lip and palate on ultrasound. Now stable, awaiting further mental health evaluation and discharge teaching/planning. Give example(s) and rationale(s) of any tools that may assist in the assessment of this patient.
