Design Portfolio: Virtual Dressing Application
Topic: Evaluate the technology you designed as part of your CW2 Design Portfolio and write up a mini report on the results of the evaluation. To evaluate you will need to use Heuristic and UX Evaluation together with interview method to report on the Four Pleasures
You are requested to complete and submit a Mini Evaluation Report on your Design Portfolio (Coursework 2) where you are going to be running and presenting
- a ‘Heuristic Evaluation' using Nielsen's 10 Heuristics and the UX Evaluation Criteria as described by William Belk
AND
• a review on the ‘4 Pleasures' on the system you designed and presented within your Design Portfolio (Coursework 2) as a result of interview sessions you have conducted with 2 participants.
For CW3 you are expected to create a Mini Report on the evaluation of the system you designed and presented within your design portfolio (Coursework 2). Your Mini Report must include the following:
• Clear, well-structured and presented Introduction where you briefly explain the topic of application/technology that you chose to design for your CW2 Design Portfolio and describe the purpose of this Mini Report. In your introduction you
need to refer and briefly explain what ‘Heuristic Evaluation', UX Evaluation and ‘4 Pleasures' are (see Emotional Design (Aesthetics) lecture) and what their value are in ID&UX. You need to support your statements in Introduction by citing appropriate and relevant literature
• Clear, Evaluation section for your report where you present and discuss the Nielsen's Heuristic evaluation, Belk's UX Evaluation Criteria and ‘4 Pleasures' review of your designed system (this part can be called ‘System Evaluation')
• Clear, well-written Discussion section where you discuss your evaluation findings and what these mean in regards to Interaction, UX and users' Wellbeing. Your evaluation discussion need to be addressing the above to acquire higher marks.
• Clear, well-structured and presented Conclusion paragraph (1 paragraph) where you summarise what you produced in your design portfolio and the rationale behind it.
