It is always considered a violation of human rights by the concerned bodies when accent is used as a basis of denying an individual an employment opportunity since accent is a factor that is considered as highly related to ancestry or origin of a person. As long as Chantal is proficient in the language of consideration and can perform the job very well as per the required standards, the accent is always considered as an irrelevant issue according to the code of human rights. Being born in Quebec City means that the accent may trace to her origin which makes the denial of employment an aspect of discrimination based on origin and not competence.
