Question

Alyssa Carter, a 7-year-old girl with a ventricular septal defect, has been medically managed and is in second grade. She has not required operative intervention and is up-to-date on all immunizations. Recently, she presented with heart pounding and was assessed and sent home without intervention. Alyssa's mother reported her lightheadedness and chest pain, which were recorded on a cardiac monitor at a rate of 174. My patent tx plan is about VSD repair, and she needs to be monitored closely for any signs of worsening symptoms. Gladys Jones, a 75-year-old woman with a history of Type 2 diabetes and hypertension, was admitted to the telemetry unit with a diagnosis of new onset atrial fibrillation. She has a history of smoking but quit a year ago. She is on an oxygen and telemetry monitor. Both patents impold to monitor ECG and oxygen therapy, Alyssa Carter needs VSD related nursing intervention. In response, please address the following questions:
